To provide our AI-powered features, we use OpenRouter as a gateway to various large language models. This allows us to dynamically select and adapt to the most suitable models over time to ensure the best performance and quality. Currently, we primarily utilize models from providers such as Google and OpenAI.
When you use these features, the relevant content (such as your notes or page highlights) is sent to these providers to generate the requested AI response. This information is processed according to our privacy standards and is not used by these third parties to train their general models.
We work hard to protect Memex and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information we hold. We utilize industry-standard encryption and security practices provided by our infrastructure partners.
You have full control over your data. You can delete all your stored information at any time by navigating to Sidebar > Settings > Delete data within the application.
Once initiated, your data will be immediately removed from your active account. For your protection against accidental deletion, we retain a backup that is recoverable for 7 days, after which the data is permanently purged from our systems.
